Broadway Market is managed by Broadway Market Project Community Interest Company. All profits from the market are put back in to the community. We offer charitable donations to a variety of community groups and local organisations.
Our criteria for supporting various groups are:
- Help for those marginalised by poverty and mental and physical disability.
- To work with bringing together different groups in Hackney that require help with a variety of social needs.
- Support to encourage business skills and entrepreneurship.
Below are some of the organisations and community groups that we have supported:
- St. Joseph’s Hospice
- Hackney Men’s Carers’ Group
- Laburnum Boat Club
- Albion Kids’ Show
- Hackney Winter Shelter
- The Dalston Curve Garden
Successful applications are for specific projects or purchases and not for day to day running costs. Awards are made four times a year in January, April, July and October. The amount that we usually give is between £500 and £1000.
We do not normally support national charities. However, we are happy to help local branches that work within our community. We do not offer donations to individuals.
